We are an MCS Approved Installer:
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme, supported by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. MCS certifies microgeneration technologies used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources.
Why is this important? Only installations completed by MCS Approved Installers are eligible for financial support under the feed-in-tariffs (for electricity) and renewable heat incentives (FIT and RHI). There are increasing circumstances in which planning permission is waived under "permitted development" rules - some of these are only permitted if an MCS Approved Installer is used. Building guarantees and property insurance are beginning to reference MCS approval in their guidelines and policies. For more info see: www.microgenerationcertification.org
RECC Membership
We are also registered with, and are supporters of the RECC Renewable Energy Consumer Code. The Code is backed by the Trading Standards Institute (TSI) as part of a self-regulation initiative, the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. The Consumer Code links closely to the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) Installer and Product Certification Scheme. Members of the Code are expected to comply with these schemes, or if they sub-contract the work, to ensure that those that carry out the work on their behalf comply with these schemes. The Green Deal is a scheme that can help make energy-saving improvements to homes or businesses. The above energy-saving improvements to homes or businesses are implemented without having to pay all the costs in advance.
